Yup, you read that right...Bird Diva! Diva as defined in the dictionary is a "distinguished female singer", a "goddess, fine lady" and that's what I wish to be. I'd like to add my voice to those of the birds and be that "fine bird lady" who inspires others to go in search of their "wow" bird and to celebrate all birds by taking action to protect their habitats.

It all started for me with the Indigo Bunting, who has now earned the title of "wow" bird. The one bird that truly hooked me.  Brilliant, saucy & perched atop an apple tree screaming to be scene - fire! fire!  where? where?  water, water quick! quick!  What was part of my job, became a passion close to obsession and is now something incredibly magical for me. Birds seem to connect with every type of person whether child or adult, urban chic or country hippie, suits or sandals, mountain biker or couch surfer. I don't care who they are, where they're at...dig deep enough, they all have a "wow" bird.
