Mud Creek WMA & Important Bird Area with RiseVT

  • Mud Creek Wildlife Managment Area 100 VT-78 Alburg, VT, 05440 United States (map)

This walk is sponsored by Rise VT - Franklin & Grand Isle Counties as part of their summer Nature Series.

This old railroad trail cuts through forested wetlands and cattail marshes that are a migratory stopover and breeding site for a variety of waterfowl, wading birds, osprey & others. Bird Diva, Bridget Butler, will help you fine tune your eyes and ears to the birds around us and demonstrate how to use eBird to document the birds for science.

This is an easy walk out and back at a birder’s pace. Please bring binoculars, Bridget will bring a limited supply of binoculars to share and a spotting scope for the group to use.
