Intro to Slow Birding ~On Demand Course~
Intro to Slow Birding ~On Demand Course~
This is a modified version of the full Intro to Slow Birding course; this version does not include the live online discussions. This self-guided 4-week course will help you develop a more mindful approach to birding; a practice that will allow you to enhance your birding skills by birding in place. Bird Diva, Bridget Butler, will facilitate a series of weekly sessions through a set of 4 pre-recorded videos, access to the Slow Birding Community for 6 months, and a variety of handouts and other resources. During this course, you’ll learn how to start a Sit Spot practice, enhance your observation skills, and deepen your connection to the birds right outside your door.
Slow Birding
Slow Birding is a mindful approach to connecting with nature through birds focused on place-based observations; slowing down and being in the moment with birds. This approach will free you from the traditional list-driven aspect of birding. It’s about re-awakening & fine-tuning your innate birding skills while at the same time creating a deeper connection to birds, the place you live, and to yourself.
